Vinyl of the Week - 29 MARCH 2020

This week’s choice is ‘Parallel Lines’ by Blondie. This 1978 album has been voted one of the best record covers of all time. Ironically, the band hated it. So much so that they fired their manager over it! (They had chosen another picture that didn’t put all the emphasis on Debbie Harry, he disagreed telling the rest of the band they were expendable). But this album is more than just its cover - it’s a great listen, including timeless hits like ‘One Way Or Another’, ‘Heart Of Glass’ and ‘Hanging On The Telephone’ as well as the lesser known, but my personal favourite, ‘I Know But I Don’t Know’.
