Venom & Faith, Larkin Poe

This week’s album is ‘Venom & Faith’ by Larkin Poe, an American roots rock band fronted by sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell. The name is a tribute to their great-great-great grandfather who was the cousin of Edgar Allan Poe. Their style is heavily influenced by authentic blues and southern rock but it has a very unique feel. I’m not sure if it’s their passion, the fact that they have played together all their lives or just awesome musicianship that makes this such a great album, totally self-produced and independently released on their label Tricki-Woo records.
