My first pick is an album from my favourite band. The Stones were in tax exile when they made this album and you can feel the raw edge. It was recorded in the basement of the Nellcôte mansion in France, the temporary residence of Keith Richards at the time. From the great rock rhythm of the first track ‘Rocks Off’ to the primal feel of ‘Ventilator Blues’, some say this is their greatest album. So if you have it already, give it a spin.
