AC⚡️DC have just released a new album, Power Up, and according to popular mythology, if I’m not naughty and fairly nice to people, there’s every chance I might be the recipient of that record this December 25th. In the meantime, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to look at my all time favourite AC⚡️DC album, Back In Black. I have a theory about why this is such a great record. It was a new era for Acca Dacca after the tragic passing of the legendary Bon Scott. This was the first record with new front man, Brian Johnson, and the band had already decided Back In Black would be a tribute to Bon. I think the heart and soul that went into this album, as well as the fact that Brian was very keen to prove he was the perfect replacement for Bon, resulted in one of the most revered rock albums ever. That’s just my opinion, but the fact that Back In Black has sold in excess of 50 million copies and remains one of the best selling records of all time, indicates that I’m not alone in that line of thinking. So if you have this masterpiece, go and put it on while you wait for your Xmas delivery. If you don’t, you better get onto the big fella in the red suit - DS
