Killer, Alice Cooper

Happy Halloween to all our fellow music fans out there. Considering it is Halloween, it would be remiss of me not to feature an artist that fits the occasion. And it didn’t take me too long to think of one, although several candidates did come to mind. But how I could choose anyone other than the original Rock Ghoul, Alice Cooper. Known for his theatrical stage shows that draw inspiration from horror movies with their fake blood and gore, ‘The Godfather of Shock Rock’ has been at it since 1964. Supported by a great deal of talent from the man himself, and the constantly rotating cast of musicians that have accompanied him around the world many times over, these concerts are legendary. Killer was released in 1971 and remains one of the most represented albums on the setlists. Many of the tracks have been covered by other artists and Johnny Rotten even called it the greatest rock album of all time. So if your idea of a perfect Halloween is a decent soundtrack with the right vibe, no matter what you find yourself doing tonight, this should do the trick… Happy Halloween - DS
